Need practical tools to help you track whether your government affairs or media and social networking programs are effective? Attend the next SLOEN meeting to get an overview of what other agencies are doing to measure their influence in their respective fields.

Sarah Gentry of the Gateway Area Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and Emily Black and Saras Chung from Wyman will present the various methods you can use to measure the impact of your agency’s efforts in the realm of government and media advocacy.

Opportunity for Learning

The DHSS Bureau of Health Care Analysis and Data Dissemination (formerly the Bureau of Health Informatics) is again offering sessions of Introduction to Profiles and MICA, Health Data Analysis, and the Health Data Workshop.  These courses are recommended for administrators, program managers, health educators, program planners, or other staff who need to understand and present data to inform policy or decision making related to priority health issues.  A more detailed information sheet and draft agendas for the three courses are attached.

All three courses are hands-on and are designed to assist local public health agencies and community partners with health status monitoring and data analysis needs.  Dates, locations, and registration deadlines for each session are included in the attached course information.
